The Yas Waterworld covers a total area of 37 acres or 15 hectares. The waterworld is built around the story about a brave girl named Dana who travels the world in the search of a pearl that was lost in a storm and is important for the prosperity in her village. The park slides show the story of the girl and all the different helpers, guides, friends and enemies whom she encounters on her journey. The theme and the park architecture showcase this story. The mascots Shaheen, Dhabi, Hamlool are based on this story.
A Yas waterworld wristband has to be purchased to access the area. It acts as a cashless system for all your needs in the park. You don’t need any cards or cash to transfer money for rides. You can load the wristband with park credits for food and drinks, lockers services and to buy merchandise at the shops inside the waterworld.
If your visit to the Yas waterworld is unplanned then you can buy towels from the Yas waterworld shop or rent them. You can also deposit your luggage for a nominal fee at the guest services. If you lose something in the waterworld during your visit, then don’t worry and check at the lost and found facility. Once the items are verified they will be handed back to the owner.
The total number of slides in this amazing water world is 17.These are more than those at the Aquaventure and Wild Wadi in Dubai which have around 10 rides and slides. The Yas Waterworld offers tickets with a couple of options. You can buy a one day pass for AED 210 and use an add-on of AED 150 that allows you a quick pass with your 1 day pass. Some rules are strictly followed in the Yas Waterworld. Visitors are not allowed to bring outside food or beverages, glass objects, ice coolers and ice boxes. People should be well behaved at all times and should not get into fights, use abusive language or get intoxicated. Queue jumping is not allowed so as to maintain the decorum of the park. Pets are not allowed.
